Fukugonji Temple Downtown Shrines and Temples the Seven Lucky Gods

It is said that this temple was founded in the 1st year of Juei (1182) by `Kaiki` (patron of a temple in its founding), Ashikaga Matataro Tadatsuna. It is said that Tadatsuna founded this temple for the bodhi of his mother and the memorial service of his father.
Ashikaga Yoshikane and his wife Tokiko's guardian deity (hidden Buddha), Koyasu Kannon, and Seki Jizoson (guardian diety of children for stifling a cough) enshrined.
This temple is one of the Ashikaga Shichifukujin (Seven Gods of good fortune)
