Takinagashi-no-shiki (Ceremony to wish that good luck will be poured like Waterfall)

It is called “Takinagashi-no-shiki” because there is wish “good luck will be poured you like a waterfall". (Takinagashi⇒Waterfall)

A priest does "Gomadaki" (Buddhist ceremony using the fire to pray the happiness) and give a pray with holding the worship-visitor’s amulet up to the fire.
As the reading sutras continue, the worship-visitors sit in front of Bishamonten early in the morning and take a sacred sake.

A priest pours sacred sake from above the worship-visitors head and worship-visitors receive that sacred sake flowing from the head through the forehead and nose with holding a large cup of 50 cm in diameter in front of the face.
When they feel that the sake you can drink up is poured in their cup, raise their left hand and ask priest to stop pouring.
And it is a Buddhist ritual ceremony of drinking it all at once.
