Fire Festival in Daisho Mountain

It is an event of protection against the fire that is held once a year at Hosenji Temple.

The ritual for the ascetic Buddhist monk to walk barefoot in the burning flame, and after the fire has settled down, the general public is free to participate.

Before the Fire-walking begins, there is also a humorous Yamabushi preaching, the worship of great perfection of sutra, and the treat of Tengu Mochi.
